& MASTER DISTILLER
Dr. IVAN SALDAÑA, biologist, master distiller and cofounder, is responsible for leading the exploration and materialization of Casa Lumbres brands.
Ivan invites you to learn about the creative landscape behind brands that intend to express Mexico patrimony through an innovative eye. This in-depth, unique workshop, will talk about place of origin, raw materials like agave, corn and d chilli, as well as the unique traditional heritage and the contemporary cultural perspectives that serve as building blocks to culturally relevant brands in our industry.

ADVOCACY & EXPERIENCE MANAGER

Mica Rousseau is one of the leaders in Mexico's bar scene, with over 20 years in the cocktail industry. He started at a young age with his first bar in France before moving to Mexico as the bar director for Nikki Beach at Meliá. Later, he designed and opened the Fifty Mils project at the Four Seasons in Mexico City (50 best bars in the World, tales of the cocktails). In 2020, he opened his own bar Casa Prunes in the Roma Norte area of Mexico City and joined Casa Lumbre as Advocacy & Experience Manager for Mexico and Europe.

CO-FOUNDER & GLOBAL EDUCATOR
OF NOCHELUNA
Born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, home of the sotol, Ricardo is Partner of Sotol Nocheluna and an excellent educator in the category. He has been representing the Chihuahuan Sotol for more than a decade, working with producers throughout the state to rebuild the history of sotol and preserve its production methods. Pico has always been characterized by helping and supporting small communities, as they are the true guardians of the art of distillation in northern Mexico.
Currently he focuses on reforestation efforts to protect Dasylirion (the plant used to produce sotol), seeking the well-being of small producers, and representing the Chihuahuan sotol.
Although sotol is his greatest passion, he has also explored and worked with the five Mexican distilled beverages: Mezcal, Bacanora, Raicilla, Charanda, Tequila, and of course Sotol.
